Which monitors are best for trading?

The best trading monitors are matched: the same size, the same panel and the same refresh rate across the whole desk, so a chart looks identical on every screen and a line runs straight from one to the next.

Two things decide it. Refresh rate: 144 Hz or faster, so a live tape and a scrolling chart stay smooth for a full session. Resolution matched to the size: 1920 x 1080 on 24 and 27 inch panels, 2560 x 1440 on 32 inch, so your platform shows at its native size with nothing scaled.

Every package here is built that way and arrives with a heavy-duty steel stand and 10-foot cables, so the delivery is a working desk rather than a box of parts. Not sure how many your computer can drive? Start with the graphics card.

Why Buy Monitors from EZ Trading Computers?

Matched Panels, Not a Mix

Every monitor in a package is the same size, the same panel and the same refresh rate. Lines run straight from one screen to the next, colors match, and a chart looks the same wherever you drag it. A desk built from whatever was on sale never does.

Specified by Traders

144 Hz or faster, a 1 ms response time, and a resolution matched to the panel size are not the cheapest monitors we could buy. They are the ones we sit in front of ourselves for a full session, and the ones the EZ desktops and laptops are built to drive.

Support That Knows What a Platform Is

If a screen does not come up, or Windows puts your charts in the wrong place after a restart, you talk to an in-house technician who only deals with traders and knows what a trading platform is. Not a call center, not a script, not a reference number.

I started EZ Trading Computers because I got tired of watching good traders get taken advantage of by computer companies that have never placed a live trade in their lives.

How to Choose

144 Hz Is the Floor

A 60 Hz monitor redraws 60 times a second. At 144 Hz and up, a fast-moving tape and a scrolling chart stay smooth and your eyes stop working to keep up. Every monitor we sell is 144 Hz or faster. Why 60 Hz is hurting you.

Match the Resolution to the Size

Full HD on a 24 or 27 inch panel shows platform text at its native size with nothing scaled. Step up to 32 inches and the same 1080p goes soft, so the 32 inch package moves to 2560 x 1440 and the text stays as sharp as it was on the 27. Push 4K onto any of them and Windows has to scale, and trading platforms handle scaling badly.

Four for Most Traders, Six for Several Platforms

Four screens hold charts, order entry, a scanner and news without switching. Six earns its place when you run more than one platform at once, or trade several markets. Most traders who ask about eight end up happier with four. How many do you need?

Flat Panels for a Grid, Not Curved

A curve is aimed at one viewer in the middle of one screen. Put four curved panels in a square and the curves fight each other at every edge. Flat panels line up, stack cleanly on the stand and keep a trend line straight across the desk. Watch: I Never Trade on Ultra Wide

IPS or VA: What the Panel Type Means

IPS (in-plane switching) holds its color and brightness when you look at it from an angle. On a desk where two screens sit off to each side and two sit above, that is the panel that keeps every chart readable without leaning over. The 24 and 27 inch monitors are IPS.

VA (vertical alignment) gives deeper blacks and higher contrast, with a narrower sweet spot for viewing angle. On a 32 inch panel you sit further back and the screen fills more of your view straight on, so the angle matters less and the contrast helps dark chart themes. The 32 inch monitors are VA.

Both types here run at 144 Hz or faster with a 1 ms response time, so a moving tape does not smear on either.

Check the Graphics Card Before the Monitors

The number of screens a computer can run is set by its graphics card, not by how many ports are on the back. EZ desktops are built with 4 or 8 monitor support, decided before the build. A laptop drives four through the 4-port adapter.

The Stand Decides the Desk

Four separate bases need a wide desk. One quad stand puts four screens on a single footprint and lets you line them up once. Every package here ships with a heavy-duty steel stand built for its screen size.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many monitors do I need for trading?

Four covers most traders: charts, order entry, a scanner and news, each on its own screen. Six is for running several platforms or markets at once. Start with four and add a vertical pair later if you outgrow it.

What refresh rate should a trading monitor have?

144 Hz or faster. Every monitor in our packages is 144 Hz minimum. A 60 Hz panel is fine for email and gets tiring on a live tape.

Do I need 4K monitors for trading?

No. At 24 to 27 inches, 1920 x 1080 shows platform text at full size with no scaling, which is what trading platforms handle best. 4K on a small panel means scaled text or a magnifying glass.

Curved or flat for a multi-monitor setup?

Flat. Curved panels are built for one viewer at the centre of one screen. In a grid of four the curves face away from each other at the edges and lines bend. If you want a curve, it belongs on a single centre screen, not in the grid.

Will my computer run four or six monitors?

Only if its graphics card can. Every EZ desktop is built with 4 or 8 monitor support. If you are on another machine, check the card model before you buy the screens, not after.

Can I run these monitors from a trading laptop?

Yes, through the 4-port external monitor adapter, which drives up to four screens at 1920 x 1080 from one USB-C port on an EZ laptop. On other laptops it depends on the graphics card.
